Finn Aleksi Toivonen (4-0) is emerging as a top prospect on the Nordic scene. The undefeated flyweight fought a tough Brazilian Vilson Junior (5-2) at CAGE 37 and was impressive throughout, and eventually getting a first round armbar submission. “At least it felt really tight and yes he screamed something twice -> verbal tap.” expresses Toivonen about the quick move and stoppage that let many watching what happened.

While the fight ended with an armbar, it was a strange big-brother type move that got the crowd on their feet early. “It was a sort of power guillotine. I actually have submitted people in training with the move, but this time I got a bit carried a way with it and lifted too eagerly (and also he wall-walked and spinned well) which allowed him to escape. Never gonna make that mistake again.”

Toivonen turned pro in October of 2015 and has now won all four of his matches by submission, and has not see the third round in his pro career.  “Even though the fight was not the longest one I still managed to make a few errors that can be fixed. Im never satisfied ?”

The 25 year old Primus Fighter won’t be out of action too long. “Next for me is a few more relaxed weeks and a short vacation and then right back where I left off and on to successful 2017!”
