Alexander Gustafsson (16-4) is set to face Jan Blachowicz (19-5) at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany on September 3. The UFC announced the bout this morning, which will likely be the co-headliner underneath Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett.

The Allstars Training Center fighter is looking to rebound from his split decision loss to light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. “I am back and ready to take a fight.” says the Mauler to MMAViking.com in a recent interview. Gustafsson got a Fight of the Night bonus for his latest effort in Houston last October, that was just one winning round away from capturing the title from the Olympic Wrestler.

Blachowicz has trained with Gustafsson, so the fighters are well aware of each other’s skills. “It’s on, me against my Polish friend Jan Blachowicz at UFC Hamburg. Cant wait to get back in that cage.” says the Mauler when the news was released. The Poland fighter is coming off of a unanimous win over Igor Pokrajac in April.
