Flyweight Amir Albazi‘s road to redemption has just gotten longer. The Iraqi fighter, raised in Sweden, who lost for the first time in his professional career against Jose Torres at BRAVE 23, has sustained an undisclosed injury and will not be returning at BRAVE 24: London, which takes place next week, July 25th, at the Copper Box Arena.

Albazi signed with BRAVE Combat Federation with an undefeated record of 11 victories in as many bouts and was hoping to get back on track towards an eventual title shot against O’Driscoll. The fight between the London-based Albazi and the Irishman O’Driscoll, who fights out of the world-famous Straight Blast Gym, had been growing in rivalry as the duo exchanged trash talk in social media.

Now they will have to wait longer if they do want to take on each other. As a result of his opponent’s injury, Blaine will also withdraw from the card and his BRAVE CF debut will be postponed.

BRAVE 24: London moves on with seven bouts, as Featherweight world champion Bubba Jenkins defends his crown against former Lightweight titleholder Lucas “Mineiro” Martins in the main event, with Cian Cowley looking to start another win streak against Maciej Gierszewski in the co-main event.

The show will be an exclusive, invite-only event, as hundreds of VIP personalities, including celebrities, businessmen, politicians, and influencers will taste the highest-level of international mixed martial action in a luxurious night.
