It was fireworks for the 3 minutes and 30 seconds the bout lasted, as Norway’s Emil Weber Meek and Poland’s Albert Odzimkowski went back and forth in a slugfest that ended with the Hulk taking shots as the ref jumped in to stop the FEN 8 bout. “It wasn’t my best performance, the main thing was my warm up. All the fights got finished with-in the second round, so they where moving the main-card fights forward.” says Meek the morning after the bout in Kołobrzeg, Poland. “I was ready 1 hour within so I got a bit cold, and my heart rate dropped to much.”

“I learned that I need to protect myself smarter. I wasn’t out, I was just dazed, and rocked. I think he was in the same position I was in, and the ref let him continue. I think I could do the same, if I just circled out.” comments Meek, that had his opponent knocked down and taking punch after punch early in the fight.

Meek had his moments in the bout, that didn’t have too many surprises from his opponent. “I know he wanted to stand and trade with me, since he’s a stand-up fighter. But after he got rocked he went in for a lot of takedowns.” says the MMA Trondheim fighter that was taken down after landing solid shots.

“I don’t know what is next yet, need to go home and make things better for my next fight.”

“Thank Betsafe for putting out odds on me and making the fight even more exiting to watch, gymgrossiten for perfekt gaining after the weigh-ins and combat corner for equipment for hard punching viking! And MMA viking for always following meeee!!” says Meek as he will look to improve on his now 5 win, 2 loss, 1 draw, and 1 N/C record.
