Emil Weber Meek (7-2-1-1) was looking to make a name on the European scene by taking on veteran Matt Inman (17-7) at Contenders 14 in the UK, but it won’t happen. “I have to pull out of the fight” says the injured Valhalla to mmaviking.com about the planned bout on Saturday, February 27 bout.

Meek has put together a solid two fight winning streak, but it is a groin injury that has knocked him out of the bout. “Valhalla” has moved to Oslo and training full time at Frontline MMA for the bout. “I have never pulled out of a fight before, and it does not feel right!”

Inman is on a four fight winning streak, which he earned with a perfect 2015, but it won’t be a bout with the Norwegian to make it his fifth.

“I apologize to Matt Inman, I know we would have a great battle! And specially to my #ValhallArmy who allready bought tickets to support me!”

Meek was also looking for revenge for his training partner and now coach at Frontline MMA in Mohsen Bahari. Inman beat Bahari with a heel hook in just 44 seconds back in 2013.
