Eric Wisely (19-7, 0-1 in UFC)

Eric “Little Lee” Wisely is a 27 year old American fighter fighting out of Clinton, Iowa based Team Conquest gym.

Wisely’s bout with Jason Young at the Globen in Stockholm will be his second fight in the UFC. In his UFC debut Wisely got quickly submitted by the Brazilian up-n-comer Charles Oliveira who caught Wisely’s leg in a rare calf slicer submission early in the first round.

Outside of the UFC Wisely’s holds notable wins over UFC veterans Matt Veach and Hermes Franca who Wisely managed to beat twice.

Wisely is an allround fighter with a preference to stand up fighting.  Wisely is no slouch on the ground either and he has competed also in submission grappling. Still his solid kickboxing skills on the feet are his best asset.

Southpaw Wisely likes throw a lot of looping punches and haymakers while keeping his own head safe with good head movement. Wisely isn’t very big or physically imposing at featherweight but he is a gutsy fighter who likes to scrap and pushes forward even when hurt.
