ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Professional Fighters League is poised to close out their first regular season with PFL7, live from Ocean Resort and Casino Thursday night. Today, the fighters scheduled to compete hit the scales in advance of their make-or-break fights as the stakes ramp up for the final eight playoff spots. Main Eventers Smealinho Rama and Jamie Abdallah both hit their targets to make the fight official.

The Road to the Playoffs ended early for one of the potential playoff participants. Jason High weighed in at 160 pounds, prompting his removal from the season and locking his opponent Johnny Case into the final lightweight playoff position.

The seven remaining regular season fights all have big-time playoff implications. Of the 14 fighters competing only Sean O’Connell is guaranteed a spot in the big dance. The other 13 will be fighting for their playoff lives and the chance to become 2018 PFL champion and earn the $1 million top prize.

“This is it, it is do-or-die time for the guys fighting tomorrow night,” said PFL President of Fighting Operations Ray Sefo. “It’s been a great first season but I’m ready to get the Playoffs started and I can’t wait to see how the brackets are going come together after tomorrow’s fights.”
