Team East Front head honcho Jukka Paananen just send the news from the city of Tyumen in, Siberia, Russia that East Front’s welterweight Jani Ridasmaa (4-1) made weight tonight at the International MMA Tournament’s weigh-ins. Ridasmaa tipped the scale at 77.0 kilos even. The Finn’s opponent  Aleksei Kuntshenko weighted in at 76,3 kilos. The fights will go down tomorrow.

Due to several cancellations the Finn is now fighting in the main event of the event. American heavyweight Jeff Monson had visa issue and had to withdraw from his bout with Alexander Emelianenko.  Spaniard Manuel Garcia missed his flight to Tyumen for unknown reason.

Finn Ridasmaa has won his last two fights since losing by submission to Sweden’s Åke Bergvall in October of 2012. In his last fight at LFN 8 in April of 2013 Ridasmaa submitted Russian Mikhail Khirziev with a triangle choke in the second round.

Another Team East Front fighter in Miika Kauppinen was scheduled to fight at Tyumen too but had to withdraw due to illness. Last week the Finn was in hospital for couple of days because of a nasty stomach flu.
