FIGHT CARD FEATURES SEVEN AMATEUR MATCH-UPS IN UNDER-CARD 

2 December 2013 – Singapore: REBEL Fighting Championship today announced the heavily anticipated match-up of Alberto Mina and Glenn Sparv, two accomplished fighters who complete the professional fight-card at its inaugural promotion this December. The dynamic REBEL FC line-up will also feature 14 promising amateur fighters from Singapore and Malaysia who shone during a series of demanding trials held on 2 November.

Alberto Mina, a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Judo black-belt holder, boasts an impressive 9-0 undefeated record, having won six of his nine victories via submission. An Ultimate Challenge MMA (UCMMA- UK) Welterweight Champion and Gold medallist at the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) Asian Open 2013, Mina now looks to add Singapore to a growing list of conquests as his thirst for global domination continues.

Sparv, a Finnish MMA fighter who trains in Thailand with Team Quest Thailand, is no pushover with an outstanding 7-2 fight record. A powerful ground and pound specialist, Sparv has used his prowess to deadly effect, knocking his opponents out in five of his seven victories. Sparv is the complete antithesis of Mina will be looking to end the fight early with a vicious combination of striking attacks.
