Finn Jani Salmi (9-2) will face veteran Sergej Grecicho (22-9) at Fight Night Finland 14 in Turku, Finland on May 6th  The GB Gym fighter Salmi has a 8 fight winning streak and will be facing a dangerous grappler in his attempt at 9 straight victories.

By now, Salmi expected to have the Cage Warriors belt around his waist.  The Finn was set to face Cage Warriors world champion Chris Fishgold (16-1-1) in the co-main event at the Echo Arena on April 1, but his opponent pulled out due to a drug driving conviction.

Salmi has not lost since 2013.  His last outing was against Niko Myllynen at FNF 13, where the lightweight won by submission in the first round.

Grecicho is out of The Knight of Plunge and has had good success against Nordic fighters, with his last win coming over Jani Ridasmaa at Lappeenranta Fight Night 14 in 2015.  The 31-year-old also has a win over Antti Virtanen and had a competitive bout with Anton Kuivanen at Cage 29.
