“Martin is one of my favorite fighters and I’m very impressed by Petshi. The match is very interesting and stylistically should be very entertaining. Not much more to say than that this is a match for MMA and fight fans.” – Babak Ashti, Grundare Superior Group International

Akhtar was going to face the man he lost the title to in Ed Arthur in his first attempt, but Superior reports that the fight was turned down.

Petshi is 26 years old and on a two fight winning streak.  He turned pro in 2012 and started his career with 7 straight wins.

The Team Akhtar fighter is 36 years old and never fighting better.  His last lost was back in 2014 to Arthur.
