The 28 year old is still a bit under the radar, but a win this Saturday night over The Ultimate Fighter season 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum would put him ranked above Gastelum who is now ranked at #11 welterweight.  It will be Musoke’s first fight in the USA.

Musoke has been a professional since 2007, and has put together an impressive 12 win, 2 loss, and 1 N/C record. The UFC is doing its best to find a hole in the armor of the Swede, who now puts a wrestler in front if him after a former pro boxer Alessio Sakara in his debut and decorated BJJ player Viscardi Andrade next in his UFC career.

Gastelum shocked many as he won TUF season 17 by beating the much hyped striker Uriah Hall.  The American wrestler went on to beat Brian Melancon and Rick Story, pumping up his record to 9 wins and 0 losses overall.

A win on the card headlined by Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens, would bring the American to 4 wins and 0 losses and the Swede to 3 wins and 0 losses in the UFC. A win by Musoke would put him into the world’s elite set for another high profile bout, and one step closer to becoming a star in the welterweight division.
