Nico Musoke (13-4-1) will finally make his return to the Octagon this Sunday after more than two years away from action due to injuries. The Stockholm based fighter has just returned from Canada’s Tri-star gym, and is ready. “My training has always been about finding where I can get the best training, and who I can seek out.” says Musoke about his preparations to MMAViking.com at media day in Globen.

“Their expertise and experience is at the highest level. I am thankful for them sharing with me. I’ve done several trips back and forth.” says Musoke about the trip to the home of GSP. The fighter out of Pancrase gym will face Bojan Velickovic (14-4). “It is about me being as good as possible on fight night.” says Nico that is more focused on himself than his opponent.

“Gum and almonds for snacking in between. Gum because I am light on water and almonds for energy.” explains the huge welterweight about his strategy for hitting the 171 lbs. limit.

The welterweight has since racked up two wins and two losses in the Octagon, with his only loses against top competition Kelvin Gastelum and the aforementioned Tumenov. The 30 year holds wins over Viscardi Andrade and Alexander Yakovlev.
