GBG MMA fighter Rami Aziz (6-2-0) tonight beat Lois Cadet at his first bout for the promotion Desert Force. The fight went down in Amman, Jordan at Desert Force 12.  The Swede won by decision over Cadet, a 23 year old from France.  It was Aziz first fight with the promotion after signing a multi-fight agreement.

According to Arabsmma.com (play-by-play can be seen here), it was a very close 15 minute battle.  Aziz got a takedown early, and landded some nice punches on top.  The Swede looked for a submission in the second, and again used take-downs to get the fight to the ground.  More of the same in the third, with Aziz capitalizing on opportunities to get the fight to the ground and controling the bout.

“Win for rami aziz” Tweets the fighter shortly after the bout.

Aziz was born in Iraq, but trains out of GMG MMA in Gothenburg. The featherweight has been on a roll since he dropped a split decision in 2012 to Frantz Siloa. He has since put together a five fight winning streak.  This was his first win this year, after beating Jaakko Vayrynen at GCE in Finland last December.
