The only Finn scheduled to be on the upcoming Superior Challenge 11 card, Suvi Salmimies (2-0) has announced that her opponent Lina Eklund (3-2) has withdrawn due to injury.

The two were set to do battle at Södertälje’s AXA Sports Center on November 29. Salmimies trains out of MMA Utti the undefeated fighter won at Lappeenranta Fight Night 10 and Lappeenranta Fight Night 11.
Eklund trains out of Stockholm’s Pancrase Gym, and had her most impressive performance in her last outing at IRFA 4 back in March of 2013. The popular fighter was a regular as ‘Lynx’ on Sweden’s Gladiatorerna program, and has been out of action since having a baby.
Salmimies was getting her weight down, and posted the following picture on Instagram yesterday.
There has yet to be any announcement from Superior Challenge officials.
