Bloody Elbow has loads of Nordic fighters on their 2012 Scouting Report. On the report Sirwai Kakai represents Sweden while J-P Vainikainen,  Juha Saarinen and recent UFC signee Anton Kuivanen are the chosen ones from Finland. MMA in Norway is still not legalized but that hasn’t stopped them from producing talented fighters.

Legendary norwegian fighter Joachim “Hellboy” Hansen has lately  focused more on coaching than fighting and results speak for themselves. Two of the most promising fighters out of Hellboy’s gym and whole of Norway are welterweight Mohsen Bahari and Sweden-born middleweight Jack Hermansson. Both guys are 4-0 on their pro careers against respectable competition.

A quote from Bloody Elbow’s assessment of Bahari:

“To add to the fear, Bahari also sports a versatile kicking game, mixing in leg, body, and head kicks into his arsenal. The only problem has been his opponents’ propensity to shoot for takedowns due to the excessive output of his kicks. Surprisingly, Bahari is no slouch on the ground. He possesses a good top control game, decent ground and pound, and the knowledge to transition and threaten his opponents in the scramble.”

Hermansson gets praise from Bloody Elbow too:

“With destructive power, explosive takedowns, and a physically dominant style of combat, Hermansson may be on the verge of becoming Norway’s next great export.”

Bahari and Hermansson will both fight next in April at the  Fight UK 7 event in Leicester, England.
