Aleksi Toivonen (6-1, 1 NC) suffered his first loss of his career at CAGE 44, but the Finn is back at CAGE 45 as a headliner against Japanese vet Nakahara Taiyo (15-8) on November 24.  “Even though I don’t think too much about my placement in the card, i’m honoured to be boosted into the main event spot.” says the Giant that has stepped in for Anton Kuivanen who was originally planned to top the card.

Toivonen is coming off a tough assignment versus Combat Sambo World Champion Aren Akopyan (8-2-1), and now faces a 35-year-old Shooto, Road FC, and K-1 Hero’s veteran.  The “Sun” has 23 fights and coming off a win over Je Hoon Moon at Road FC 36.

“I feel ready to bring the fight and get back on the winning track in a big way.”

“If there is one thing about me, besides the habit of going for the finish, I bring the heat in my fights. Crowd will surely get their euros worth.” says the 26-year-old.

“He is a long southpaw with four times as much experience as me. Of course Takahara is a very dangerous opponent, but life is lived on the edge.” comments the flyweight.

Toivonen represented Finland in the 2014 IMMAF World Championships. He turned pro in October of 2015 and won his first 6 fights, and no fight has made it to the third round.  His last six bouts have been with CAGE.
