Aleksi Toivonen (6-0, 1 NC) is ready to take his reputation globally. “I’m looking to continue the finish streak at CAGE 44 and then I’m going to start a global raid, bringing those gold belts to Finland one by one.” says the ambitious Finnish flyweight to MMA Viking.

“The goal is to make an international breakthrough in the near future, and then the goal is definitely the world’s top fighters.”

The “Giant” will start his next challenge versus Combat Sambo World Champion Aren Akopyan who comes in with a 7 win, 2 loss, and 1 draw record. The 24-year-old Armenian-born started his career with 4 wins. He now fights out of Moscow, Russia.

Akopyan Up Next for Toivonen

“I think it’s an action fight and definitely a tough matchup. Though so was my last one, and that fight turned out exactly like it was meant to. But I always love a fresh challenge and a new skillset.” says Aleksi that stopped Salambek Damaev (9-4) at Cage 43 in the first round.

Toivonen turned pro in October of 2015 and in his wins has stopped all his opponents, and has not see the third round in his pro career.  His last five bouts have been with CAGE.
