Back in November 2007, a 20 year old Alexander Gustafsson headed to Lahti, Finland for a bout at Shooto Finland – Chicago Collision 3. The Mauler’s first professional MMA fight was to be against Finn Saku Heikkola.
The card featured many other notable names including Lucio Linhares, Tor Troeng, Akira Corassani, and Nico Musoke whom you can see in Gustafsson’s corner. The match lasted 8 minutes and 42 seconds with the future UFC title contender leaving with the victory. Check out the fight here.
