Domingos Mestre (12-7) was looking for success in Finland for the the first time, and he finally got it. After a loss to Antti Toivianen back in 2008 at Botnia Punishment 7 and Cage 23 versus Kai Puolakka in 2013, it was a breakthrough night in Helsinki at Cage 32 for “Cookie” that beat what he called a “legend” in Juha-Pekka Vainikainen (22-11-1).

“You have to have a lot respect this guy. A real gentleman.” compliments the Finn that he was able to submit in the third round.

“I worked a lot on my standup.” says the Portuguese 30 year old fighter that now represents both Portugal and Sweden. “I am a citizen of the world”.
