Makwan Amirkhani will now soon make his return to the Octagon in Berlin to face Mexican Masio Fullen in Berlin, following his 8 second UFC debut stoppage that went viral in part to his outgoing personality. Ostrogonac Productions recently talked to the Finnish groomed fighter, that now trains in Sweden, and released a short documentary.

I was born in Iraq says the Kurdish fighter that moved to Finland when he was only 5. “Maybe the happiest thing for my family” says Amirkhani about moving out of a war torn area. But, it was also the same year that he lost his father.

“I started wrestling when I was 4 years old. I always lost to my cousins in competitions.” says the UFC fighter that talks about his progression as a wrestler (how he eventually surpassed his other family members) and transition into fighting.

“He will go very far” says Allstars head coach Andreas Michael. Amirkhani talks about being inspired by seeing Rocky as a kid, and draws parallels in being the underdog. Check out the video here.
