Sweden-raised Amir Albazi (12-1) is finally set to make his UFC debut.

The flyweight out of London Shootfighters shared the news on social media on Friday announcing that he will be making his promotional debut on the UFC’s Fight Island card taking place July 18 in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.

“I finally got that call after 12 years of hard work, sacrifice and sweat. I got the call yesterday morning asking if i was ready to fight on UFC fight island on 10 days notice. Fuck yeah!!!”

As per the image he posted, he will be facing Malcolm Gordon (12-3). The 30-year-old trains out of Adrenaline MMA in London, Ontario, Canada, and will also be making his UFC debut. He is currently on a four-fight winning streak.

Albazi last competed at Brave CF 29 when he submitted Ryan Curtis back in November 2019. He has also had a short stint with Bellator where he went 2-0 with the promotion.

He will now be looking to start his new chapter with the UFC starting with a win. He was MMA Viking’s 2016 Prospect of the Year and currently ranked #1 in the Nordics.
