Tom Niinimäki will make his return to the cage after nearly two years on October 1st in Espoo at the Metro Areena with the newly announced European Fighting Challenge (Euro FC). “I took one year off, and started to feel young again.” says the Finn about a potential comeback. “EuroFC is a thing that I want to be part of.”

The Finnfighters Gym fighter most recently fought in in December of 2014, and is coming off of three straight loses in an intense last year with the UFC. “The UFC year was hard. We went to Florida for six months, everything was new. There were lots of things to worry about… it was tiring and hard. I wasn’t mentally there.”

A seemingly refreshed “Stoneface” did admit that he thought he was hanging up the gloves. “I want to train good and take care of my body. Be smarter.”

The opportunity to fight will come back in Finland at the debut of Euro FC. “I want to entertain. I want to perform.”
