The Vision Fighting Championship (VFC) is the newest promotion on the scene. There first event “The Beginning” took place on August 28, 2010 in Tingvallahallarna, Karlstad.

Vision Fighting Championship (VFC) has a vision for MMA. Our vision is to broaden the opportunity to compete primarily for the Swedish practitioners, but also give the Swedish audience a chance to see international matches. VFC intend to be a positive representative of the MMA sport and its increasing popularity to the general public.
We want to show that MMA matches that contain excitement, drama and action is just a sport practiced by elite athletes. VFC want people to see and enjoy this show in a professionally organized gala. At the same time we want to create a positive image of the sport and be a good role model as a promoter.

I’ll try to get the scoop on how the event went, and updates on future events. One thing is for sure, the local MMA scene is growing, with three major promotions in Sweden! When will the UFC be coming to town? Soon, I hope.
