This year’s edition

This season’s edition of Kimura Talent will differ slightly from the previous season, this applies to both production and arrangement of the competition.

A novelty this year is that Kimura will work with Superior Challenge to sit and select 16 participants among the applicants, who will get the chance to come to Stockholm to join exclusion matches in the shoot fighting or amateur mixed martial arts. Of these 16, then eight winners will be named given the chance to move forward in Kimura Talent. They come in a week to live together in Stockholm and have the chance to train with Sweden’s best martial artists in one of Sweden’s most modern MMA gym.

This means that we will not go to different cities to have the competitions we will be based on the covering letter sent to select 30 or so people we will interview and examine a little closer. We will then contact the fighters that we have selected and see how well they would fit into Kimura Talent. Then we will hold discussions with various profiles deposited in the Swedish MMA, to finally choose which 16 fighters who will come to Stockholm to join exclusion matches.

The eight that go on during the week will go quarterfinal and semifinal matches in either shoot or amateur mixed martial arts fighting, where the fighting for the two coveted spots in the finals, which will take place at Superior Challenge 8.

The winner of the contest will receive a professional contract with one of Europe’s biggest MMA organizations, and a contract with a major clothing brand.

Who can apply?

We are looking for anyone over 18 who train MMA / Shootfighting and dream about getting to make it as professionals. Track record in shoot fighting or mixed martial arts is not a must, but the more qualifications you have, the better the chance that you become one of the elect. If you do not have any credentials in the MMA / Shootfighting, but has great credentials from other martial arts, these are of great interest to us.

Weight is not yet definite, but we will see what weight class, which in our opinion contains most fighters with the highest quality and then choose the weight class for competition.

Matches will be made with an authorized “matchmaker” from Swedish MMA Federation and / or Shoot Fighting League, because it is not known to occur “Missmatch.”

Then the games must be approved by the Swedish MMA Federation or Swedish Shootfighting League, it’s a requirement to have game cards for them. Has not this, you can apply for one via their website.

The first exclusion matches will take place September 11 in Stockholm. The eight who go on will then be left in Stockholm the following week to train during the week with specially selected coaches, and to enter the quarterfinals and semifinals matches.
