FightSport.fi, our Finnish content partner, reported earlier today that Finnish veteran Toni Valtonen (26-14) has agreed to a heavyweight bout with Polish Michal “Masakra” Kita (13-6) at the Fight Arena 6 event. The show will take place in Czestochowa, Poland on the 2nd of March.

After unsuccessful stride in summer of 2011 Valtonen took a year off from fighting to fix his injuries and heal up. The Finn returned to action in fall 2012 and quickly racked up wins over Ilja Skondric and  Rimgaudas Kutkaitis. In his latest fight Valtonen was robbed of a decision win at Draka show in Russia. Valtonen clearly controlled the action with strong grappling and was more active than his opponent but still two of the judges scored the fight to Russian Alexander Illiasov.

Polish heavyweight Michal Kita is a M-1 and Bellator veteran with notable wins over Ricco Rodriguez, Alexey Oleinik and Valentin Overeem who he choked with a guillotine in March of 2012.  Kita isn’t very big for a heavyweight so there won’t be much size difference between the two.
