“I think it’s going to happen this time” says Sweden’s Sirwan Kakai (11 wins, 2 losses) to MMAViking.com about his opportunity to fight in the UFC in Sweden. Finn Timo-Juhani Hirvikangas (10 wins, 2 losses) is the targeted opponent.  “I think it’ll be great.  Finnish people will come.” says Zohan about the rumoured matchup with the top Finnish bantamweight.

Kakai is confident in his ability to be a star inside and outside the cage, and makes his case to UFC’s matchmaker Sean Shelby.  “I got some flavor” says Kakai, that emphasizes that he is “not a grinder” and “can put on a show”.  With a 90% finish rate the Swede that trains at American Top Team says he can promote in Sweden, American, and the Middle East.  “I want to be in the UFC.”

Even headliner Alexander Gustafsson has made the push to get his old teammate on the card, taking to social media to push for a contract for Kakai.
