Newly signed Cage Warriors fighter Aleksi Mäntykivi (10-4-0) has an opponent for his promotional debut. The Finn will face a 10-year MMA veteran in Englishman Martin Stapleton (18-5) at Cage Warriors 82 on April 1st in Liverpool, England.
The HardKnocks Helsinki fighter signed a 5-fight deal with the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship. The 22-year-old lightweight has won six of his last seven bouts. Mäntykivi KO’d Dane prospect Søren Bak back in October at EuroFC 1.
Stapleton lost his Cage Warriors 80 bout by decision back in February, but before then he won 5 straight bouts. He comes out of SBG Manchester and turned pro back in 2007, and started his career by winning his first 12 of 13.
