Gunni’s ankle, that kept him out of his last bout, is healed and he will return on the card with much needed star power.  UK’s Jimi Manuwa and American Corey Anderson will headline the card, and the popular Icelandic fighter will be in the co-main event.

The Iceland native has won 6 of 8 fights in the Octagon. The 28-year-old was perfect in 2016 as he submitted Albert Tumenov at UFC Fight Night 87 event at Ahoy Rotterdam in Holland securing a $50,000 bonus for his nasty neck crank finish.

Jouban has been looking for a big fight with a ranked fighter. “Brahma”, who also has 6 wins and 2 losses in his UFC career is on a three fight winning streak.

The Black House fighter most recently beat Mike Perry in December. “I’m ready to headline. Give me the rankings, put me in those rankings, and let’s headline some cards, man. I’m ready to do it.” said the 34-year old to MMAJunkie.com in his post fight interview.

The two have a common opponent in Tumenov, who TKO’d Jouban back in 2015.
