Gunnar Nelson (13-1-1) will face John Hathaway (17-2) at UFC 189 just three bouts before teammate Conor McGregor faces Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in the headliner. The UFC has recently revealed the bout order of the card featured on Saturday, July 11 of International Fight Week.

Nelson Gets Main Card Exposure on Biggest Card of the Year

The Mjölnir/ SBGi fighter hasn’t fought since headlining the UFC in Stockholm card in October, where he suffered his first loss to Rick Story. However, his bout against the “Hitman” will get more eyeballs than his first main event, as Dana White has estimated PPV buys at 1 million with all the hype surrounding the two title fight card, including Robby Lawler and Rory MacDonald.
