Rafael Macedo (10-4, 1 NC) will battle Tobias Harila (6-1) at BRAVE 39 card in Stockholm, Sweden on August 15. It is the first time the Bahrain-based promotion, in association with Sweden’s Bulldog Fight Night (BFM), will host an even in the Nordics.
“Rafa” is ready to take it to the confident and dangerous “Bad Intention” that claimed the “Bad Boy” title in his win over Fernando Flores (6-7) in Västerås in the event of Fight Club Rush 6. “All respect to his former opponents, but the truth is that I’m his first MMA pro fight, with the guys he has fought before it’s easy to be called bad boy. I have had fought world wide pro MMA guys and I’m called butcher for a reason.” says Macedo to MMA Viking.
The Gothenburg based fighter beat Englishman Kane Mousah (12-2) at Bellator 230 in Milan, Italy, in a big win on short notice in his last bout. The Brazilian featherweight is on a two fight winning streak.
“I had to manage my training here, I used to go to Oslo to train at Frontline Academy but now with this pandemic situation I had to stay .anyway anything change, hard work and dedication continues, I have Felipe an Brazilian guy that gonna fight at Brave as well so we are help each other plus I very experienced former MMA Fighter Domingos Mestre, Arasto my wrestling coach and some of my students.”
The Västerås Fight Club fighter has won 4 straight fights.
With government restrictions of large groups gathering, it is expected that the events would be go on without fans and hopefully just enough room for some MMA Viking media =)
