It’s now official. Spike TV have announced the cast of the upcoming The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), and it includes Sweden’s own Hamid ‘Akira’ Corassani!

TUF 14 features UK’s Michael Bisping and Strikeforce middleweight Jason “Mayhem” Miller as coaches. 135 pounders and 145 pounders are featured for the first time on the show.

The fighter out of Gothenburg, now living in the US, Corassani looks to make a splash on the popular reality TV show.

Corassani in Philly

While MMA Viking did talk with Corassani in Philly, seen below on the car ride to watch Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 133, he remained tight-lipped about any involvement in the show, except saying everyone would know the situation soon.

The 145 lbs. fighter is a GBG MMA / TEAM Kaibon fighter, and famously known as one of the Hobbits, along with Brad Pickett and Sirwan Kakai.

The 28 year old fighter is a veteran of Sweden’s Superior Challenge and The Zone FC. He lost his last fight to Paul Reed (sorry for the type here Paul!!! Fixed. For those that want to know more about this fight, read about Paul Reed Versus Akira. Reed of the UK was victorious with aggressive striking, ending the bout with a second round TKO. He sports a 9 win and 3 loss record, along with 1 no contest.
