Assan “The Black Attack” Njie is one of Europe’s most exciting fighters, and gaining momentum on the MMA scene. Bloody Elbow recently ranked him as the #10 middleweight not signed to a major promotion in 2011.  

Fighting out of Gothenburg, the 27 year old has now won the last 10 of 11 fights. With a boxing background and aggressive style, fireworks are sure to follow each time Njie steps in the cage.  If you saw Njie’s last fight at Superior Challenge 6, you realize that Njie is not one to play games –he brutally put out former UFC fighter Sean Salmon in just 41 seconds.

MMA Viking interviews Njie shortly before this Saturday’s fight at Superior Challenge 7 “Rise of Champions”.

MMA Viking : For those that haven’t seen you fight, how would you describe your fighting style?
I prefer to fight standing up. My fighting style is to fight aggressive and I’m always looking to finish my opponent by KO or submission.

MMA Viking : You are fighting a powerful and explosive Beslan Isaev. What do you expect from this fight?
Beslan is a really good fighter! So I think it’s going to be a really good fight!

MMA Viking : Who are you training with to get ready for this fight?
I am training with alot of good fighters at GBG MMA. My sparring partners for this fight has been Joakim Enberg, Bruno Carvalho, Alan “terere” Carlos, Shahin Alem, Babak Nejad, and Magnus “the white turtle” Strandner.

MMA Viking : You beat former UFC fighter Sean Salmon in easy fashion at SC 6. What are your MMA goals?
My goal is to fight to the top to the UFC.

MMA Viking : Any predictions for other fight in your 185 division, the title fight of Leites and Horn?
I think Leites will take this one. 2nd round submission.
