Two Nordic-based fighters stepped into the cage, but it was Jack Hermansson (12-2) that defended his belt over a very game Alan Carlos (12-9) in the Cage Warriors FC 75 main event tonight in London.

“I got nervous before I came out” says the Joker about his slow start leading to an indecisive first round. In the end it was Hermansson that took over in the third round, landing several huge right hands to KO Carlos against the cage.

It however wasn’t an easy bout, as Carlos had moments in the second round that looked like he could be finishing the middleweight champion. The Brazilian Viking landed an overhand right, followed up with a left and a knee that put the Frontline Academy down giving up his back. The finish however wasn’t there, as Jack fought back to his base and even threatened with some leg locks of his own. “I was in some trouble for a while.”

“Follow-up, follow-up” says Jack about his corners instructions thought brought him within distance of the chin of the Brazilian. Although, Carlos wasn’t happy with the stoppage, it was a good call.

Hermansson has now won seven straight bouts. This loss ended a two fight winning streak for the Halmstad MMA fighter.
