With pro MMA illegal in Norway, Cage Warriors has stepped-up and put on as close as a home town fight as any Norwegian could have for those signed to the leading European promotion. Today, Cage Warriors 93 announced the card going down at Gothenburg’s Lisebergshallen on April 28th with Kenneth Bergh, Alexander Jacobsen, Hakon Foss, and Thomas Robertsen.

“Norway’s Bergh, another big-name Scandi star, will look to continue his undefeated rise through the Cage Warriors light heavyweight division. All but one of Bergh’s 6 wins have ended in the very first round, making him one of the most exciting fighters in Europe to watch. Also fighting out of Norway on April 28th will be Robertsen, Foss and knockout artist Jacobsen, who last fought Cage Warriors lightweight champion Chris Fishgold at CW88.” stated the promotion today about the Norwegians booked for the promotions first trip to Norway.

No opponents have been announced for the local fighters.

“Gothenburg! I will put on a show for you. See you soon.” says Foss who will be looking to snap a two fight losing streak. “Time to make some waves in Gothenburg” comments Bergh that looks to propel himself to the UFC with another win.

Jacobsen is set to face Liverpool’s Lawrence Fitzpatrick at Cage Warriors 90 on Feb 24th, so the Norwegian will have a busy schedule with a fight already set two months after.  “First I need to do some business in Liverpool, then I am ready again for Scandinavia.  Let’s do this: I’m hungry, I’m ready, and nothing will stop me.”

“Some of the most exciting guys ever to fight for Cage Warriors have come from Scandinavia,” Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan said. “We’re giving them a platform to put on an incredible show for Scandi fight fans alongside Viaplay, one of the most respected broadcasters in the region. Scandinavian fans are world famous for the amazing atmosphere they create. April 28th is going to be incredible.”
