The Invicta debut was a successful one for Sweden based Pannie Kianzad as she outstruck and outgrappled Australian Jessica-Rose Clark over three rounds at Invicta FC 13. The Rumble Sports fighter moved to 8 wins and 0 losses as she picked up a unanimous decision at the Cosmopolotan Saturday night in Las Vegas.
The Cage Warriors champion may be marching toward another title shot with her performance. Kianzad ended the Australian’s three fight winning streak, which was also iher debut with the leading woman’s promotion.
The first round was the closest as the two tried to counter each other with punches for four and half minutes until Kianzad landed a nice takedown to put the Clark on her back to the bell rang.
The second round saw the grappling exchanges go back and forth, with Clark trying to finish with belly-down armlock and the Swede countering with an inverted triangle.
Kianzad showed she was the superior fighter in the third, peppering Clark throughout with big punches. Clark seemed to end with a nice knee to the body, but it wasn’t enough to steal the round on any scorecards.
