Redline Training Center’s Lina Lansberg (6-1) is the first Swedish woman to be signed to the UFC, and she will go straight to a headlining bout as she faces Cristiane Justino (16-1), better known as “Cyborg”.

“For over 15 years I’ve been working for moments like this coming home with gold medals in world championships!” says Lansberg about her preparations for this huge matchup going down at UFC Fight Night 95 on September 24 in her opponent’s home country of Brazil.

A Confident Lansberg Fights Cyborg in UFC Debut

The “Elbow Princess” is on a six fight winning streak, and last defeated Maria Hougaard at Odense Fight Night 5 in March.  The Muay Thai European and World champion transitioned to MMA in 2012.  In that time she claimed the Superior Challenge bantamweight belt.

“I’m coming to fight, to come home with gold once again… See you all in Brazil. Let’s do this!” – Lansberg

Cyborg will complete at a 140 lbs catchweight, the same as her Octagon debut at UFC 198. The Brazilian now based in USA stopped Leslie Smith in 81 seconds in brutal TKO fashion. She has not lost since her MMA debut in 2005.  The UFC has opened up this weight class exclusively for the fighter.
