Today The Zone FC filled a hole in its pending title match-ups on the May 6th card with the announcement that Nordic’s best bantamweight Sirwan Kakai fights Claudemir Sousa at The Zone FC – Demolition.

Claudemir Sousa, the Brazilian native fighter with a total fight record of 8-4-0 (and 1 NC) takes on the crowd favorite Sirwan Kakai from GBG MMA (6-1-0) in a title fight in bantam weight at The Zone FC – Demolition, the 6th of May in Lisebergshallen, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Claudemir “Tiko” Sousa is originally from Brazil but fights out of Icon BJJ in Switzerland. Sousa has a spectacular and aggressive fighting style, much like the aggressive style of Chute Box, with furious stand up and great ground skills.

In this highlight you can see some of the action he can deliver in the cage.

Claudemir “Tiko” Sousa Highlights.

Sirwan Kakai is one of the best bantam weights in Europe ranked number 4 at this point (according to Ground N Pound). He comes from six straight wins. In his last fight he won against James Doolan. But we all remember the war against his fellow countryman Thomas Bäck last time at The Zone FC in February 2011:

A win for Kakai in this fight will not only award him the Zone FC Bantam Weight title, but it will also take him closer to the top in his weight class in Europe and perhaps open up doors for even bigger challenges. But the question is if he can handle the aggressive style of Sousa who will try to impose his will and take charge and take the belt back to Switzerland.
