As expected, Mikko Rupponen has been added to this Saturday’s Helsinki Fight Night. It is now official as the promotion has found an opponent willing to step up on just days notice in Lithuanian Mazvydas Pieza.

Finn Rupponen will have his second bout in his comeback to MMA after a 3+ year layoff beginning in 2010. The Espoon Kehahait middleweight had is first MMA professional bout in 1999 and has amassed a 19 win and 5 loss record. Most recently he was featured as part of the Finland MMA Championships in April as he TKO’d Aleksandr Svird in the first round.

Pieza has a record of 2 wins and 3 losses, most recently losing last month at Warmia Heroes 2 in a decision. The fighter has won both of his fights by submission, and is currently on a two fight losing streak.

Former UFC fighter Anton Kuivanen (20-7-0, #1 Nordic rank) will face American Dakota Cochrane (16-5-0) in the MMA headliner of the Helsinki Fight Night card. The bout will take place at Pasilan Urheiluhalli.
