Swede Niklas Bäckström (10-2) will fight Brian ‘The Pikeman’ Moore (9-4) at BAMMA 27. BAMMA today announced the bout going down on Friday 16th December at the 3Arena, Dublin.
The Swede was originally supposed to fight on the BAMMA 26 card at the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on June 4th, but the event was postponed due to new medical requirements for the promotion. Bäckström has a 10 win, 2 loss, and 1 N/C record and gained the most attention with a front kick stoppage of Max Coga in 15 seconds and a successful debut in the UFC against Tom Niinimäki.
After dropping his last two fights in the Octagon, the 27 year old submitted Georgi Stoyanov at the Battle of Botnia 5 in November and Danijel Kokora at SFN 1 Fight Nights in June.
The Wexford based fighter Moore trains out of SBG Ireland is looking to take his win column into double figures. He will be fighting in front of his home crowd for the first time since his successful debut at BAMMA 24 against Mick ‘Basher’ Brenna.
