Nicolas Dalby will step back into the Octagon for the second time at UFC Fight Night 76, which takes place at Dublin’s 3Arena on October 24th. The Sun announced and UFC confirmed the bout this morning with the man facing the Dane being another undefeated fighter in Darren Till.
Dalby, who stepped into enemy territory last May in his UFC debut, found himself in a 15 minute war with Brazilian Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos. In the end it was a 29-28, 28-29, and 29-28 split decision victory for Dane who used striking at a distance and take-downs when needed to secure the victory.
Till will also step into the Octagon for the second time, as the Englishman out of Astra Fight Team was victorious on the same card in Brazil, stopping Wendell de Oliveira Marques with elbows in the second round. The 22 year old has amassed a 13 win and 0 loss record.
It was a big night for Rumble Sport’s as Dalby was able to notch the first UFC win for the gym. The Sharpshooter also improved his record to 14 wins and 0 losses.
“The cat is out of the bag it seems! I’ll be making my return to the #Octagon at UFC Fight Night 76, October 24th in Dublin. Can’t wait to show Darren Till why he’s going to regret taking this fight.” posts Dalby on Instagram shortly after this morning’s announcement.
Joseph Duffy will face Dustin Poirier in a headlining bout for the “UFC Fight Night: Poirier v Duffy” card in Dublin.
