The much anticipated Botnia Punishment title bout between Finland’s Olli-Jaakko Uitto (8-2) and Sweden’s Jonatan Westin (4-2) will not be happening. Westin today posted on his Kimura.se blog that he had had an operation on his hand, where they inserted a “plate and five screws”, eliminating him from the card in Seinäjoki, Finland on the 14th of September.

Westin Will Not Fight for Title This Time

Uitto has been a very tough man to beat at Botnia Punishment, as the MMA Seinajoki / Team BP fighter has 4 wins and no losses at Botnia Punishment events. The current welterweight champion last fought at Botnia Punishment 10, last September securing a submission in the first round. Uitto returns to this bout after being sidelined for a year due to injuries.
