Thomas Jessing (4-2-1) was set to face his most high profile opponent in Chris Thirkell (7-0) at Made4TheCage 25 next month, but this bout plus several others have now fallen through. “It’s horrible to be sidelined. I think there are too many cherrypickers and wannabees in this game” says the Norwegian raised Dane to MMA Viking.

“It has been so difficult to get a fight.” says Jessing. “I want the public to know that my inactivity is caused by pullouts, not by my doing. First the opponent on GMC got injured, then Thirkell pulled out due to family problems on M4TC. Another top British welterweight turned it down, and then I was called out and the fight made possible on Headhunters Championships but Kieran Malone crawled back into his shell.”

The Immortal hasn’t fought since a draw back at SFC 12 in February. The welterweight now sets his sights on Sweden. “I hope I can get on a card later this year, it sure would be cool to return to Sweden where I had my professional debut.”
