Mairbek Taisumov pulled out of his UFC in Stockholm fight going down in 11 days, and Stockholm based Frantz Slioa (5-0) has offered to fight Joaquim Silva as a late replacement. “I’m gonna welcome him to my backyard, and it won’t be a nice welcome.” says Slioa to MMAViking.com.

After close to two years since losing his last bout on The Ultimate Fighter show to Ryan Hall, Slioa returned to the cage against prospect Dean Trueman (7-4) in Liverpool at CWFC 82 in April.

The 26 year old submitted Trueman in exciting fashion in Liverpool, where he fought off an early submission to get one of his own on in his Cage Warriors debut.

“I have everything ready. My weight and all my medicals.” says Slioa that is reaching out to UFC matchmakers to make the bout happen. The featherweight, that fought as a lightweight on TUF doesn’t see any issue taking the bout.

Silva is undefeated with a 9 win and 0 loss record, including two wins in the UFC. The Brazilian’s most recent bout was a first round KO of Andrew Holbrook at the TUF 23 finale in Las Vegas in July.

Slioa recently detailed his battle with cancer with in an interview with MMAViking.com. “I haven’t heard anyone doing what I did… have cancer, go through chemotherapy and come back stronger.” says the Assyrian fighter.

UFC Fight Night 109 goes down at the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, which is headlined by teammate Alexander Gustafsson versus Glover Teixeira.
