Cage Warriors Fight Night 3 took place at Habtoor Grand Hotel Convention Center & Spa in Beirut, Lebanon.  Even though the event took place in the Middle East, with fighters from around the world, it was the Nordic fighters that stole the show.

The Finns and Swedes were highlighted in five matches in total, and they were victorious in all five matches.  Mestre representing Sweden won the first bout of the night and Finland’s J-P Vainikainen ended the night with a stoppage in the final bout.  See all the results below.

Sweden’s Cheng Versus American Gabel; 8 Man Cage Warriors FC Tournament Set

Cage Warriors today announced the bouts and schedule for the upcoming 8 man middleweight tournament.  Sweden’s Victor Cheng will be the lone Nordic fighter, and will look to get his shot at another belt –he currently holds The Zone FC belt– as he starts off the tournament on February 11th against Matt Gable.  Cheng is now just 3 bouts removed from getting the CWFC middleweight title.  Read the press release from Cage Warriors below :

Recent The Zone FC title winner Victor Cheng was unable to continue his six fight win streak. The Gladius MMA fighter lost by TKO in the third round to John Michael Sheil at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship “Fight Night 1″ on June 16 in Amman, Jordan.

Victor Cheng Seeking Victory at Cage Warriors “Fight Night 1″ then The Zone FC Title Defense

Just over a month ago, Swede Victor Cheng claimed the Middleweight belt over Eric Cebarec in another impressive stoppage. Cheng stepped in for his coach August Wallen, who was injured, to become the title winner at “Unbreakable” in Gothenburg.

Today, we received the news that Victor Cheng is filling up his schedule. First he will be taking a fight on short notice at Cage Warriors Fighting Championship “Fight Night 1”, going down June 16 from Le Royal Hotel in Amman, Jordan. He will be taking on John Michael Sheil from SBG Ireland. He is undefeated in his young career, and was recently victorious at CWFC 42 on May 28th in Ireland.

Victor Cheng (6-1-0) will look to make the most of his 6th appearance at The Zone FC with his first title shot against Eric Cebarac (8-4-0) on May 7th’s “Unbreakable”.

The Zone FC announced that the middleweight belt will be left vacant by injured August Wallén of Gladius MMA, making way for student Cheng to fight Cebarac for the unclaimed title.
