MMAViking.com will be reporting live in London for the big UFC Fight Night 37 card staring this Wednesday ย The card is headlined by the light heavyweight main event between Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson versus local Jimi Manuwa at O2 Arena in London.
Unlike when Gustafsson fought at UFC 165 in Toronto, where he lost a close decision to Jon Jones, The Mauler will be joined by three other Nordic fighters. ย Allstars Training Center training partner Ilir Latifi will make his return to the UFC after his short notice headliner last April. ย The Sledgehammer will face a former opponent of Gustafsson in Frenchman Cyrill Diabate headlining the prelims.
Also on the prelims is another Swede in grappler Mats Nilsson. ย This Swede will be making his debut in the Octagon againstย London’s own Luke Barnatt, who is undefeated at 7 wins and 0 losses, while Nilsson sports an overall record of 11 wins, 2 losses, and 1 win.
Not to be missed is the return of Gunnar Nelson. ย Iceland’s Gunni is already 2 and 0 in the Octagon, but now returns from knee surgery to face the bigger Omari Akhmedov who will be dropping to welterweight after winning his first bout at middleweight inside the Octagon.
